Pidgin 2.6.6

Pidgin is a chat program which lets you log in to accounts on multiple chat networks simultaneously. Pidgin is compatible with the following chat networks out of the box: AIM, ICQ, Google Talk, Jabber/XMPP, MSN Messenger, Yahoo!, Bonjour, Gadu-Gadu, IRC, Novell GroupWise Messenger, QQ, Lotus Sametime, SILC, SIMPLE, MySpaceIM, and Zephyr.

Main Pidgin features are chat, instant messaging and file transfers. Pidgin supports some file transfer features, such as ability to pause, resume, and cancel transfers and observe multiple transfers in a separate window.

Changes in latest version:

AIM: allow setting and displaying icons between 1x1 and 100x100 pixels. Previously only icons between 48x48 and 50x50 were allowed. MSN: support setting an animated GIF as a buddy icon. XMPP: added support for the SCRAM-SHA-1 SASL mechanism. Yahoo: support PingBox. Many other additions, changes and corrections.
